Privacy Policy

ToolHive is designed with local-first processing. For many tools, such as JSON formatting, JWT decoding, text diffing, encoding, hashing, and many calculators, the input is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to ToolHive by default.

Some tools need network access to work. For example, DNS lookup sends a domain query to the server, public IP location lookup sends the IP address being checked to a geolocation data source, and request-testing tools may send a request when you explicitly choose to do so.

ToolHive does not require user accounts for public tools and does not store every tool calculation in the database. Favorite tools and display preferences are saved in your own browser storage.

Server logs may include standard request metadata such as time, URL path, IP address, user agent, and error details. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability.

Advertising may use Google AdSense after approval. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. ToolHive avoids pop-up ads, misleading layouts, and ads that block the tool workflow.

Do not paste secrets, passwords, private keys, production tokens, or highly sensitive personal documents into any online tool unless you fully understand the risk. When possible, use sample or redacted data.
